As with many floor plans the dining room is one of the first things you see when you enter the front door. The Seifert's dining room is a sizable but has too much furniture. They have one of the same issues many folks encounter--sentimental furniture.

Since we needed to keep each piece of furniture, we decided to keep the large, Asian hutch on the biggest wall move the other pieces to different parts of the home. This includes doing a swap-out with the table in the breakfast nook.

And maybe use some Asian-inspired art in the room.
We still need to decide how to treat the windows. Since this is a more formal space, we will wait until we get some of the other pieces in place to see which direction we will go with the windows.
This is a work in progress but it is going to end up being a fabulous space that functions as the perfect welcome center and a place to celebrate all of life's most special occasions.
