Wall Art: How to make a BIG impact with a small budget!

While a lone tea cup or one piece of pottery may not say much, these inexpensive objects add up to a powerful statement en masse. While perusing Craigslist (a daily habit of mine), I came across a stack of Ford Magazines from the 1960's. I remembered seeing a magazine article with a grouping of framed "New Yorker" magazines and thought, "I can do that".

Ollie's had a closeout on 11x14 frames matted to 5x7 which was exactly what I needed. I think they were about $8 a piece bringing the total for 12 to under $100. If you don't have an Ollie's near you, I've found Big Lots is another good place to find inexpensive frames.

Don't they look great? The paint color is from Ace Hardware and is called Woodlawn. It's a soft gray blue.

This formerly blank wall in my powder bath now makes a huge statement!

Just like these magazine covers, our customer's vast collection of Fenton Glass (blue hobnail glass pieces) were special dispersed throughout her home, but gathered together, they created one stunning statement.

No matter your passion, tiny treasures or oversize artifacts, get those collections out so that they can gather compliments, not dust!

Today we're linking up with House of Hepworths and the Whatever Goes Wednesday at Someday Crafts! Head on over and check out all the cool projects and crafts folks from around the blogosphere are showing off!
